Wiener F Hörner - Viennese F Pumpenhorns - part 5

The Uhlmann signature on this horn and the fine valve keys on this Uhlmann horn, beautifully elaborated. The horn belonged to Josef Schantl.

This fine Uhlmann horn (picture below), made ca.1869) is one of my treasures. It was built as single Bb-horn, but converted into a single F-horn by elongating the valve slides & the main tuning slide, and replacing the sticker between horn & mouthpiece by the F-crook. The valves are assembled triangularly. Valve key levers & button are carefully elaborated as well as the silver bell garland.

Herrlich ausgearbeitete Signatur und Drückwerk dieses Uhlmann Horns aus dem Besitz Josef Schantls.

Siehe Bild unten links. Dieses Uhlmann Horn, gebaut um 1869 ist einer meiner Schätze. Es wurde als B-Horn gebaut, aber durch Verlängerung der Ventilzüge und des Stimmzuges, sowie Wechsel des Stiftes gegen einen F-Bogen in ein F Horn verwandelt. Die Ventilanordnung ist triangulär. Das Horn gehörte einst Josef Schantl.
