Sonata op.248 Camilla Bellonci, female hornist at the imperial ball dancing orchestra in Vienna around 1823, might have inspired M.J.Leidesdorf, one of Beethoven's pupils, to compose this virtuoso sonata. The pianopart is very difficult. The hornpart ranges from low C to high b-flat and is playable on the handhorn.
