Interpretationsanleitung

Mozart´s third Concerto for horn, which we named the No.4. Why ? The No.1 D-major is a fragment only, never finished by Mozart himself.

Mozarts drittes Hornkonzert, das wir als no.4 bezeichnen. Warum ? No.1 in D-Dur ist ja nur ein Fragment, das Mozart nie fertiggestellt hat.

For the purist: It never bothered me or even found my interest what side of the horn you use. It must sound beautiful.  How you do it, it is up to you. Before you use arguments again as "nobody here would use the F-side extensively as you", you should try out my method & listen. You might do some changes, why not, but following my advise in principle. And keep in your mind, I have no need to "profile" myself on the horn list. My active time as an horn player has arrived in the later phase of the professional life where most horn players are worn out more or less, but me not. This might proof, that my way playing the horn was & is still successful. I am 64 now & enjoy playing the horn for 55 years, whereof allmost 49 years as a professional, but on first chair always. My advice here comes from my heart, as I feel that I could help some players to master certain pieces better, to master them without much stress, leaving enough space to express personal feelings &  to transfer personal feelings to an audience

Für die Puristen: es hat mich nie interessiert, welche Seite des Horn jemand nutzt. Es muss schön klingen. Wie Ihr das macht, ist Eure Sache. Bevor Ihr Argumente wie "niemand würde das F-Horn so extensiv nutzen wie Du", solltet Ihr meine Methode einfach ausprobieren und hören, was dabei herauskommt. Ihr könnt ruhig Dinge auswechseln, - warum auch nicht -, aber folgt doch meinen Empfehlungen im Prinzip. Merkt Euch allerdings, ich habe es nicht nötig, mich auf der Hornliste zu profilieren. Ich bin jetzt schon im späteren Teil meines Berufslebens angekommen, wo die meisten Hornisten schon mehr oder weniger ausgepumpt sind, ich jedoch noch nicht. Das sollte doch schon beweisen, dass meine Art das Horn zu blasen erfolgreich war und noch ist. Ich bin jetzt fast 64 und spiele nun 55 Jahre das Horn, davon fast 49 Jahre als Berufsmusiker, aber immer am ersten Horn. Meine Anweisungen (Empfehlungen) kommen von Herzen, da ich der Meinung bin, einigen Hornisten helfen zu können, manche Stücke besser meistern zu können., sie ohne viel Stress zu meistern, damit mehr Raum bleibt, persönliche Gefühle auszudrücken und auf die Zuhörer zu übertragen.
